Why families choose CareLink

Verified by a human

Every caregiver is interviewed by our team before their profile goes live.

English & French

Filter by the language your household actually speaks.

Yaoundé-first

We started in one city so we could verify properly, not fast.

No payment on the platform

You pay your caregiver directly. CareLink takes nothing in V1.

The problem

Finding care shouldn't depend on who you happen to know.

Across Cameroon, families searching for a caregiver fall back on WhatsApp groups, church announcements and word of mouth. It is slow, it is uneven, and it puts the most vulnerable people in the house at risk.

CareLink exists to replace that guesswork with something checkable.

Referrals only go so far

Personal referrals, social media posts and informal recommendations mean long search times and no way to compare options.

No way to check

Families cannot easily confirm a caregiver's identity, qualifications, experience or reliability before opening their front door.

Highest stakes, least support

New mothers, newborns, elderly parents, people living with a disability and patients recovering from surgery are the ones who need reliability most.

Skilled caregivers go unseen

Trained caregivers stay unemployed or underemployed because no structured platform connects them to the families looking for them.

How it works

Four steps, start to visit.

This is the whole V1 loop. Nothing hidden, nothing extra.

  1. 00

    Search

Filter caregivers by the care you need, your city and the language you want spoken in your home.

    No account needed

  2. 00

    Review the profile

See experience, care specialities, languages, city and the CareLink verification badge — checked by our team, not a robot.

    Verified by a human

  3. 00

    Send a booking request

Pick your date and describe the care you need. Your request goes straight to that caregiver.

    Takes about a minute

  4. 00

    Caregiver accepts

The caregiver accepts or declines. If they accept, you two arrange the visit details and payment directly.

    You stay in control

In V1, CareLink handles introductions and verification. Scheduling reminders, digital care records and in-app payments come later.

Our caregivers

Real people, checked by our team.

We are onboarding our first cohort of verified caregivers in Yaoundé — a small group, interviewed one by one, so families can trust every profile on the platform.

Safety

Verified means a person checked. Here's exactly what that means today.

We would rather tell you the truth about our process than imply we have technology we don't.

  1. Identity check

We meet each caregiver and confirm their identity documents in person.

  2. Experience interview

A structured interview about their care background and the situations they have handled.

  3. Reference calls

We contact previous employers, clients or training institutions where the caregiver can provide them.

  4. Manual badge

Only after those steps does our team publish the profile with the "Verified by CareLink" badge. There is no automated approval.

What we don't do yet

  • We do not run automated background checks. Verification is manual and done by a small team.
  • We do not host ratings or reviews yet. We won't publish scores until we have enough completed bookings for them to mean anything.
  • We do not process payments. You and your caregiver agree on terms directly.
  • We are not an emergency service. If someone needs urgent medical help, contact emergency services or your nearest health facility.

Our first cohort is intentionally small — 5 to 10 verified caregivers — because verifying properly takes time.

Questions

Straight answers.

What does "Verified by CareLink" actually mean?

It means a member of our team met the caregiver, confirmed their identity documents, interviewed them about their experience, and called the references they provided. The badge is added manually. We do not use automated background checks in V1.

Does CareLink cost anything?

No. Browsing, creating an account and sending booking requests are free, and joining as a caregiver is free during the Yaoundé pilot. CareLink does not process payments or take a commission in V1.

How do I pay my caregiver?

Directly. You and the caregiver agree on rates and payment method between yourselves. In-app payments are on our roadmap, not in this version.

Which cities do you cover?

Yaoundé for now. We are starting in one city so we can verify every caregiver properly. Douala, Bafoussam and Bamenda follow the pilot.

Can I find a caregiver who speaks French, or English?

Yes — language is a search filter. You can filter for caregivers who speak English, French, or both.

How fast will a caregiver respond?

The caregiver is notified as soon as you send a request and can accept or decline it. We cannot promise a response time, and we will tell you honestly rather than guess.

Are there ratings and reviews?

Not yet. Ratings need a real volume of completed bookings to be fair to caregivers and useful to families. We will add them when we have that.

Is this for medical emergencies?

No. CareLink is for planned home care. For urgent medical situations, contact emergency services or your nearest health facility.

I'm a caregiver. How do I get listed?

Create a caregiver account, tell us about your care experience, languages and city, and our team will contact you to complete verification. Your profile goes live once verification is done.

What happens to my information?

We collect only what a booking needs: your name, contact details, city and the care you're requesting. Your details are shared with a caregiver only when you send them a request.
